Deposit and Payment Policy
Money is where most breeder relationships go wrong, and it is almost always because nobody wrote the rules down first. So here they are. What a puppy costs, when each payment is due, and exactly what happens to your deposit if you change your mind or if I cannot deliver. Read this before you pay me anything.
What a puppy costs
$2,100 CAD, paid in three instalments of $700. Nothing is added at the end. ABRA registration, written health guarantee, microchip, first vaccinations, deworming, vet check, puppy manual and lifetime breeder support are all inside that number.

Cash, credit or e-transfer. All amounts in Canadian dollars. Your puppy is released once the balance has cleared.
What the deposit actually does
It takes a puppy off the table. The moment your deposit lands, I stop offering that puppy to anyone else and I turn away the next people who ask. If you walk away at eight weeks, I am not starting the search where I left off. I am starting it late, with an older puppy, and with the buyers I turned down already gone elsewhere.
That is the whole reason the deposit is not refundable. It is not a fee for nothing. It is compensation for a decision I made on your word.
If you change your mind
Deposits are not refunded. If you withdraw, or you decline a puppy I have offered you, your money is not returned. It is held as a credit.
That credit is good for the next two litters I produce from which I offer you a puppy. A litter only uses up one of your two chances if I actually offered you a puppy from it, so you are never penalised for a litter that had nothing suitable in it.
After those two litters, the credit expires and the deposit is forfeit. I would rather write that down in advance than leave it open-ended and have the conversation years later, when neither of us can remember what was agreed. Two litters is a genuine second and third chance. It is not forever.
If I cannot supply you a puppy
If I have not placed a puppy with you within 18 months of receiving your first deposit, you get every dollar back. Breedings do not take, litters come out small, and sometimes the puppy you were waiting for is not born. When that happens it is my failure, not yours, and you should not be out of pocket for it. This is separate from the rule above. That one is about you changing your mind. This one is about me not delivering.
Deposits are not transferable to another person
Not without my written approval. I screen every home before I place a puppy, and a deposit quietly changing hands would put one of my dogs with a family I have never spoken to. If your circumstances change and you want someone else to take your place, talk to me. I am not unreasonable, I just need to meet them first.
Nothing is paid before we have spoken
- Submit an application. I reply to qualified inquiries within 5 business days.
- We do a live video call so you can meet the dogs and I can meet you.
- You get the full written contract to read before you pay a deposit, not at pickup. If a clause is unclear, ask before you pay.
- Only then does any money change hands.

Common questions
How much is a Rosebull American Bulldog puppy?
$2,100 CAD, paid in three instalments of $700: one on signing the contract, one when the puppies are 2 weeks old, and the balance when the puppies are 8 weeks old, before the puppy goes home.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. If you withdraw or decline a puppy that was offered to you, the deposit is not refunded. It is held as a credit toward a puppy from either of the next two litters I produce from which a puppy is offered to you. If you do not take a puppy from one of those two litters, the deposit is forfeit.
What if you cannot supply me a puppy?
If I cannot supply you a puppy within 18 months of receiving your first deposit, I refund every dollar you have paid in deposits. That is my failure, not yours, and you should not be out of pocket for it.
Can I give my deposit to someone else?
