Puppy Buyers
How We Ship Puppies Safely Across Canada

We are based in Harvey, New Brunswick. Most of our puppy buyers are not. Over 26 years, we have shipped puppies across Canada from coast to coast. Every single one arrived safely.
If you are worried about buying a puppy from a breeder who is not in your city, this post is for you. We take this seriously, and there is a proven process behind every shipment.
Option 1: You Come to Us
This is always our first recommendation. Drive out to Harvey, meet the parents, see where the puppies were raised, and take your new dog home in your own vehicle. If you are within driving distance of New Brunswick, this is the best option.
We have had buyers drive from Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. It is a long drive, but you go home with a puppy and the peace of mind of having seen everything firsthand.
Option 2: Air Shipping Within Canada
For buyers further away, we ship via airline cargo. Here is what that looks like:
Before the Flight
- Veterinary health certificate issued within the required window (varies by airline, usually 7-10 days before travel)
- Airline-approved crate that meets IATA Live Animal Regulations. We size the crate properly so the puppy can stand, turn, and lie down comfortably
- Crate training starts days before the flight. The puppy eats meals in the crate, sleeps in the crate, and spends supervised time in it. By travel day, the crate is a familiar, safe space
- Absorbent bedding and a frozen water dish that thaws slowly during the flight
- No sedation. Sedation is dangerous during air travel. A properly crate-trained puppy does not need it
Day of Travel
We drive the puppy to the nearest airport with cargo service (usually Fredericton or Moncton). We handle all the airline paperwork. The puppy is checked in at the cargo facility, and we stay until we confirm the flight has departed.
You receive the flight details, tracking information, and pickup instructions at your end. Most flights within Canada are direct or have one stop. Door-to-door transit time is usually 4-6 hours.
At Your End
You pick up your puppy at the airline cargo facility at your local airport. Bring water, a towel, and a leash. The puppy will be excited and probably need to relieve itself immediately. Plan for that.
Option 3: Ground Transport
For buyers who prefer not to fly their puppy, we work with trusted ground transport services. These are professional pet transport companies that move dogs in climate-controlled vehicles with regular stops for water and bathroom breaks.
Ground transport takes longer but is less stressful for some puppies. We only work with transport companies we have used before and trust.
A Note on US Shipping
As of 2024, the United States no longer allows the import of puppies under 6 months of age. This means we can no longer ship puppies to US buyers. We know this is disappointing for our American friends, and we hope the policy changes in the future. For now, Rosebull puppies are available to Canadian buyers only.
What It Costs
Shipping costs are separate from the puppy price and vary depending on the destination and method. Within Canada, air shipping typically runs $350-$600 including the crate, health certificate, and airline fees.
We give you an exact quote before you commit. No surprises.
Our Track Record
In 26 years of shipping puppies, we have never had an incident. Not one. Every puppy arrived safely, healthy, and ready to start life with its new family.
That track record is not luck. It is preparation, crate training, and working with airlines and transport companies we know and trust.
